Overview
Long before Jim Henson's name became synonymous with gentle whimsy, he and Frank Oz built something genuinely strange: a fully realized alien world populated entirely by puppets, with no human faces in sight. At the center of it all is Jen, a young Gelfling tasked with healing a fractured crystal before the vulturine Skeksis can exploit its power. Dark, mythological, and visually unlike anything else in the fantasy genre, it earns its cult reputation honestly.
