Overview
John Brennan is a community college professor, not a criminal. But when his wife Lara is convicted of murder and every legal avenue closes behind her, he becomes something else entirely. Quietly, methodically, he begins planning the impossible: a jailbreak. Russell Crowe plays the ordinary man pushed past reason with understated conviction, and Paul Haggis directs the slow burn of obsession with enough procedural grit to make the absurd feel genuinely plausible.
