Overview
San Francisco's tallest building is meant to be a triumph of modern architecture, a glass monument to ambition and excess. But on the night of its glamorous inaugural gala, a small electrical fire in the wiring starts spreading through the floors faster than anyone can contain it. Steve McQueen and Paul Newman lead an all-star cast through a catastrophe where every decision about cost-cutting and corner-cutting has suddenly become a matter of life and death.
