Overview
Arthur Kipps arrives at a crumbling marshland estate with a simple task: settle a dead client's affairs and return to London. What he finds instead is a village gripped by silence, a house thick with grief, and a pale figure watching from the fog. Every local knows something they refuse to say. Every child death whispers the same name. Kipps digs deeper, and the deeper he goes, the more the darkness closes in around him.
