Overview
Dennis Nilsen confessed to killing fifteen men in 1980s Britain, and the confession was almost harder to process than the crimes. This three-part ITV drama examines what happens to the people who must deal with him afterward, specifically the detective who took his statement, the biographer who sought to understand him, and the lawyer assigned to his defense. David Tennant plays Nilsen, and the series is less interested in horror than in the quiet, bureaucratic strangeness of evil made ordinary.
