Overview
A year after the events of the original film, the U.S. military quietly reopens its most classified program: a ring of alien technology that punches holes across the galaxy. Colonel Jack O'Neill leads SG-1, one of many teams stepping through that portal to negotiate, fight, and occasionally improvise their way through encounters with parasitic gods, self-replicating machines, and zealous ascended beings. Equal parts military procedural and space opera, the show ran for ten seasons and earned every one of them.
