Overview
Los Angeles has survived earthquakes, riots, and wildfires, but nothing quite like this. When a tremor cracks open the ground beneath the La Brea Tar Pits, molten rock begins pushing toward the surface, threatening to swallow the city block by block. The head of emergency management teams up with a volcanologist to improvise a response with whatever concrete barriers, subway tunnels, and sheer nerve they can muster. The city itself becomes both the battleground and the only available weapon.
