Overview
Conor is twelve, quiet, and carrying more than any kid should have to. His mother is gravely ill, school has become its own kind of cruelty, and the nights bring something stranger still: a colossal, ancient creature made of bark and root that arrives at his window with stories to tell. J.A. Bayona's adaptation of Patrick Ness's novel understands that grief rarely announces itself cleanly, and that the hardest truths sometimes need a monster to say them out loud.
