Overview
When a young real estate agent turns up dead, Detective Tom Nichols takes the case expecting a straightforward homicide. What he finds instead is a labyrinth of small-town corruption, professional deceit, and uncomfortable questions about the people closest to him. Director Grant Singer uses the murder as a pressure point, slowly applying heat until the life Nichols has carefully constructed begins to crack. Benicio del Toro anchors every scene with quiet, coiled intensity as a man learning that truth-seeking is rarely tidy.
