Overview
Gotham City runs on fear, and Bruce Wayne has spent his whole life learning to weaponize it. By night he patrols the skyline as Batman, a creature of shadow built from childhood grief. But when a grinning, chemically disfigured criminal called the Joker hijacks the city's underworld and turns chaos into performance art, Wayne finds his carefully constructed double life under pressure. Reporter Vicki Vale is getting too close, and the Joker is closer still.
