Overview
Monty has twenty-four hours before prison swallows seven years of his life. A drug dealer facing the consequences of his crimes, he wanders through post-9/11 New York, reconnecting with old friends and family members who represent different versions of who he might have become. Director Spike Lee transforms this final day of freedom into a philosophical reckoning, where blame, regret, and the possibility of redemption collide against the city's lingering trauma.
