Overview
Edinburgh in the 1990s is a brutal place to be young and strung out. Mark Renton knows this better than anyone, cycling through relapses, petty schemes, and the company of friends who are generous with chaos and short on wisdom. When he finally cleans up and heads to London, the break feels real. It isn't. The past has legs, and the people he left behind have no interest in being left.
