Overview
August 2008. A thirteen-year-old Taiwanese American boy stands at the threshold between childhood and high school, armed with little more than confusion and longing. Over the final weeks of summer, he discovers that growing up isn't found in textbooks or parental advice. It emerges from skateboard sessions, fumbling attempts at connection, and the quiet realization that understanding your mother might be the most important skill of all.
