Overview
San Francisco detective Nick Curran is drawn into a murder investigation where the prime suspect is Catherine Tramell, a wealthy novelist whose latest book describes the crime in unsettling detail. She is brilliant, provocative, and entirely aware of the effect she has on the men around her. As Nick gets closer to the truth, the line between investigation and obsession dissolves completely. Paul Verhoeven's glossy, unapologetic thriller treats manipulation as both subject matter and technique.
