Overview
Truman Capote was Manhattan's most celebrated raconteur, a society fixture known for wit and artifice. When assigned to cover a brutal Kansas murder case for The New Yorker, the fastidious writer finds himself in unfamiliar terrain, both geographically and emotionally. As he researches the crime and befriends one of the convicted killers, Capote's carefully constructed persona begins to crack under the weight of genuine human connection and moral complexity.
