Overview
A disgraced executioner becomes an outlaw after being falsely accused of betraying the Shogunate. Now branded a traitor by the powerful Yagyu clan, Ogami Itto transforms himself into a hired blade for desperate causes, accompanied only by his young son Daigoro in a cart. Together they navigate a violent underworld where honor is currency and survival depends on skill with a sword. This raw, operatic tale of loss and redemption launched an influential series.
