Overview
Robert the Bruce has just accepted English rule, surrendering his claim to a Scotland that no longer feels like his own. Then, almost overnight, everything changes. Crowned king in defiance of Edward I, he finds himself hunted across his own land, his army scattered, his allies few. What follows is less a conventional war story than a portrait of stubborn survival, a man rebuilding not just a rebellion but his own sense of what Scotland is worth fighting for.
