Overview
Nick Leeson arrived in Singapore as a rising star at one of Britain's oldest banks, and for a while the numbers kept proving him right. Then they didn't. Based on the real collapse of Barings Bank in 1995, the film traces how one trader buried catastrophic losses inside a secret account, convinced he could always win it back. What begins as ambition quietly curdles into desperation, and a 233-year-old institution crumbles because nobody thought to look.
