Overview
Alan Turing was one of the most consequential minds of the twentieth century, yet almost no one knew his name for decades. At Bletchley Park during World War II, he led a small team of eccentric outsiders in a secret effort to crack Nazi Germany's Enigma cipher, a machine considered unbreakable by its creators. The film moves between his wartime work, his troubled schoolboy years, and a postwar interrogation that reveals how badly a nation can betray its own genius.
