Overview
Post-war malaise settles over a small California barber shop in 1949, where Ed Crane contemplates his stalled existence while his wife pursues an affair. When a business proposition emerges from the shadows, Ed glimpses an escape from his ordinariness. His attempt to seize control unravels into murder and moral consequence, leaving him ensnared in a cycle of deception and regret that proves far more inescapable than his original circumstances.
