Overview
When young Venetian trader Marco Polo finds himself stranded at the court of Kublai Khan in the 13th century, survival means learning to navigate a world built on shifting loyalties and ruthless ambition. Lavishly produced and sprawling in scope, the series uses Polo as an outsider lens onto Mongol power, palace intrigue, and the seductive dangers of a civilization utterly foreign to him. Allegiances form and fracture with little warning, and no one, not even the Khan himself, is above suspicion.
