Overview
A body turns up at the German-Austrian border, arranged with a care that suggests ceremony rather than chaos. The two detectives drawn into the case, one from each side of the frontier, soon realize the killings follow a pattern rooted in something older and darker than ordinary violence. Shot against the stark, imposing Alpine landscape, Pagan Peak uses its setting as more than backdrop. The mountains feel complicit, and the investigation grows stranger the deeper it goes.
