Overview
It is 1953, and Katherine Watson arrives at Wellesley College with a UCLA degree, radical ambitions, and no patience for the unspoken rule that brilliance in women should stop at the kitchen door. Teaching art history to students groomed for marriage rather than careers, she quietly disrupts the comfortable certainties around her. Betty and Joan are her sharpest pupils, and possibly her greatest challenge. A film about the distance between a life chosen and a life assigned.
