Overview
Charlie Chaplin's Little Tramp stumbles into fatherhood when he discovers an abandoned infant on the streets and decides, against all practical wisdom, to raise him. The two become an inseparable team, scrapping and hustling through poverty with remarkable warmth. Years later, the boy's birth mother resurfaces, her regret hardened into longing, setting off a collision between maternal guilt and the unplanned but genuine love of the man who actually showed up.
