Overview
Two Roman brothers, inseparable in childhood, take radically different roads after a single summer changes everything. Over the course of four decades, their lives weave through the floods of Florence, the upheaval of 1968, the Years of Lead, and the slow drift of modern Italy. Director Marco Tullio Giordana turns what sounds like a television epic into something more personal, a portrait of how history presses itself into ordinary families whether they invite it or not.
