Overview
Every afternoon, an elderly man sits beside a woman losing her memory and reads to her from a worn notebook. The story he tells spans decades: two young people from different worlds falling hard for each other in 1940s South Carolina, torn apart by war and class, then pulled back together by something neither could fully explain. It is a film about love as an act of stubborn, daily devotion rather than a single grand gesture.
