Overview
Two engineers building side projects in a garage stumble onto something that should not exist. They do what any ambitious, rational person might do first: they make money with it. But Shane Carruth's debut feature is less interested in the mechanics of their discovery than in what it costs them, personally and morally. Shot for $7,000 and dense with technical jargon, Primer trusts its audience to keep up as timelines fracture and trust between the two men quietly erodes.
