Overview
Just days before Christmas 1970, Elvis Presley walked up to the White House gate with a handwritten letter and a very specific request: a federal badge from the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. What followed was one of the strangest meetings in American political history, as the King of Rock and Roll talked his way into an Oval Office audience with Richard Nixon. Part buddy comedy, part cultural collision, the film plays the whole absurd episode completely straight.
