Overview
A dystopian Japan turns pedagogy into spectacle, forcing a class of ordinary teenagers onto an island where survival means eliminating their classmates. Director Kinji Fukasaku transforms the premise into something far more complex than simple carnage, exploring loyalty, cowardice, and the mechanisms of state control through the eyes of students who days ago were worrying about exams. The result is visceral and darkly philosophical.
