Overview
San Francisco, 1963. Four Marines hours away from shipping out to Vietnam organize one last night of reckless abandon. They devise a cruel competition: each man brings a date, and whoever shows up with the most conventionally unattractive woman pockets the pot. Eddie Birdlace's entry, a shy, artistic young woman named Rose, upends his cruel calculations, forcing him to confront what he actually values in his final hours before deployment.
