Overview
Gaspar Noé constructs his narrative in reverse, beginning with brutal violence and working backward to reveal the events that triggered it. Two men hunt for the perpetrator of a heinous crime, their rage consuming them as they seek retribution. The film strips away conventional storytelling to expose how trauma and vengeance unravel lives, suggesting that some injuries leave permanent scars regardless of how justice is pursued.
