Overview
Fred Hampton was twenty-one years old when the FBI decided he was dangerous enough to destroy. The bureau recruited petty criminal Bill O'Neal to burrow deep inside the Illinois Black Panther Party, feeding intelligence to agents determined to dismantle Hampton's growing movement. Director Shaka King tells both men's stories with unsparing honesty, tracing Hampton's electric charisma and O'Neal's corroding conscience simultaneously. The result is a film about loyalty, cowardice, and the terrible cost of choosing the wrong side of history.
