Overview
In 1931 colonial Taiwan, a ragtag high school baseball team defies expectations by pursuing a shot at Japan's national tournament. Drawn from different ethnic backgrounds and social classes, these young athletes must overcome prejudice, resource scarcity, and their own doubts to prove themselves on the sport's biggest stage. Director Wei Te-sheng crafts an intimate portrait of ambition and belonging against the backdrop of a fractured society.
