Overview
Two years after the fall of the Third Reich, four German judges sit before an American military tribunal in Nuremberg, charged with using their courtrooms to enable atrocities. Chief Justice Haywood must weigh not just the guilt of the men in the dock, but what justice even means when an entire legal system was complicit. Stanley Kramer's sprawling courtroom drama draws out every uncomfortable question about duty, conscience, and the limits of following orders.
