Overview
Nineteen years in prison leaves a man with nothing: no home, no family, no ground to stand on. When Mekko arrives in Tulsa and gets turned away by his own cousin, he finds himself absorbed into the city's Native homeless community, a group held together by dark humor and fragile solidarity. But something is rotting at its center. A man named Bill radiates a menace that Mekko can only understand through his grandmother's teachings, and confronting it means confronting himself.
