Overview
When Pinochet's regime agrees to a 1988 referendum on his continued rule, Chile's opposition movement recruits an unlikely weapon: a cynical ad man named René Saavedra. With virtually no budget and the secret police watching his every move, Saavedra must transform a desperate political campaign into something that might actually persuade a terrified nation to vote against authoritarian rule. Power, it turns out, can be challenged with a jingle.
