Overview

When his brother's abdication forces him onto the throne, Prince Albert finds himself utterly unprepared for the one thing royalty demands above all else: the ability to speak. His stammer is severe, his confidence shattered, and the microphone is merciless. Enter Lionel Logue, an Australian speech therapist with no reverence for protocol and unorthodox methods to spare. What begins as reluctant treatment slowly becomes an unlikely friendship, tested just as Britain stands on the brink of war.
