Overview
France, 1429. A teenage girl from a small village walks into the court of an uncrowned king and announces that God has chosen her to drive out the English. Luc Besson's feverish retelling of Joan of Arc's story traces her arc from fervent, battle-hardened warrior to condemned prisoner, asking hard questions about faith, madness, and the price of certainty. Milla Jovovich plays Joan as someone burning from the inside, unable to separate her visions from her will.
