Overview
Frank Lucas built a heroin empire in 1970s Harlem by exploiting the Vietnam War supply lines, moving product through military channels while the city crumbled around him. Detective Richie Roberts, working the other side of the law, becomes obsessed with dismantling the operation. What unfolds is a parallel portrait of ambition and corruption, two men climbing toward power through vastly different moral compasses, their collision inevitable.
