Overview
The Western Front, 1917. Two young British soldiers are handed a near-impossible order: travel on foot through miles of contested, booby-trapped terrain to reach a commanding officer before he sends his men straight into a German trap. What follows is a race against the clock told in what appears to be a single, unbroken take, pulling the audience alongside the soldiers through mud, ruins, and open fields where death waits without warning.
