Overview
When an ailing stranger arrives at their home, an aging couple confronts the ghosts of their past. Decades earlier, a policeman and a museum curator shared a love that society deemed criminal. Now, as Marion watches her husband care for Patrick with unusual tenderness, long-buried secrets surface. Director Michael Grandage traces the fault lines between desire and duty, between the people we become and the people we were.
