Overview
William Lee drifts through 1950s Mexico City as an aging American outsider, nursing cocktails and casual encounters in dimly lit bars. When Eugene Allerton, a restless young man, materializes in his orbit, William confronts something he'd long abandoned: the possibility of genuine intimacy. Luca Guadagnino's adaptation of William S. Burroughs' novel traces how desire can crack open a carefully constructed solitude, forcing two men toward vulnerability neither expected.
