Overview
Surrounded by mountains on three sides, Combat Outpost Keating was a tactician's nightmare and a sniper's paradise. In October 2009, Bravo Troop 3-61 CAV found itself pinned inside that valley when hundreds of Taliban fighters launched a coordinated assault. What followed became the deadliest American firefight of the entire Afghan conflict. Director Rod Lurie reconstructs the Battle of Kamdesh with unflinching precision, honoring the soldiers who fought against odds so steep that survival itself felt like a miracle.
